Last few months of my job in South Korea

 The year 2024 started with filled emotions. Saying bye to your family is always the hardest. 2nd Jan, when I traveled back to South Korea. 

From the airport, I went directly to my office and boom! I was given a bonus for my best performance in the company. I couldn't control my excitement but somewhere I was missing my family too.

Again, back to 9 to 6 (nooooo...have to work overtime, ofcourseeee!). Well, new year so new projects. I was handling 8 projects overall. Before going on vacation to India, I completed one project and same was pushed to production. But as per the sprint, the testing was supposed to be done after the new year (yeahhhh date wasn't decided). I thought the company gonna hire more software developers and the projects will be divided, I was also expecting to be Team Lead (hehehehe, no I am not narcissist, I just trust my skills hehehe) Butttttt nooooooooo. I interviewed and shortlisted few candidates. But my CEO had something else in his mind to which no one was hired. Anyway, I had to work extra and overtime. It was the time where working continuously 8hours were less for me. No one in the office takes tea breaks, we just sit in our desk the whole time and work. 

Anyway, the overtime (ofcourse without pay), excess work, mismanagement, no proper planning of the projects and yeah ofcourse, disrepect. after working so hard with good results, I was disrespected and devalued. I couldn't take these anymore. I decided to quit the job and leave South Korea forever. 

But it didn't end here........... Damn the CEO things that I am leaving the company because I have another job offer from another company in South Korea. So, he decided to give me letter of resignation instead of letter of release, which I was fine with it. I told them just give me anything. I want a letter so that I can show it in future that I have worked for your company from this to this period.

CEO couldn't take that anymore, he informed me he cannot do that either. He said as per the government rules for foreigner, I should ask government for the resignation letter. I was stunned and I asked HR to tell me the procedure. He said it will take time for the government to provide me with the letter. So, I left the company without any letter (can you believe this company, how unprofessional they are).

Yeah, that was my last day and they told me on my last day. Ridiculous right!!!!!!!

I went back home. I emailed CEO, COO, HR and Team Lead that I don't care what the govt. is gonna provide me, I need the letter. If you cannot provide me then unfortunately I have to involve Indian Embassay. Boom!!!! after 2 days I received the Resgination Letter. Thats correct! they were lying to me. Well, all I can say is that this company is fraud.

The good thing about this company is that I have learnt a lot and have gained really good technical experience and hence I can proudly say that I am Machine Learning Engineer. But other than that, the company is shit....
